JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School girls basketball, hockey and gymnastics teams competed over the weekend as both of their respective seasons start to wind to a close. Here are your results:

GIRL’S BASKETBALL: JAMESTOWN 86, DICKINSON 65 | JAMESTOWN 68, ST. MARY’S 50

The Blue Jay girls earned a pair of victories over the weekend, starting on Friday night with a win over Dickinson. Annie Nabwe scored 22 points and snagged 15 rebounds in the win over the Midgets. Ella Falk dished out eight assists to go along with 14 points, and Katie Falk had 17 points and nine rebounds. Hunter Petersen and Rylee Joseph also ended Friday night in double figures, scoring 11 and 10 respectively.

On Saturday night at Jerry Meyer Arena, the Blue Jays got their third straight win and second victory of the season over St. Mary’s. Ella and Katie Falk combined for 35 of the teams 68 points, and Jamestown shot 42% from the field as a team. The Jays, now 8-4 overall and 7-4 in the WDA, host Bismarck High on Thursday night at 7:00 PM. GYMNASTICS: JAMESTOWN 144.325, GRAND FORKS 135.250

Haley Nelson grabbed another All-Around crown on Saturday at home for the Blue Jay gymnastics team as Jamestown picked up a win in non-conference play. Nelson posted a total score of 37.800, taking first on the uneven bars and with her floor routine. Jamestown took first place in all four events as Julia Skari’s 9.375 led the way on vault and Emma Hillerud’s 9.550 was best on the balance beam.

The Blue Jays took four out of the top five spots in their meet against Grand Forks as Hillerud placed second with a 36.000, Skari took third with an overall score of 35.875, and Brenna Hatch posted a 33.750 for fifth. Jamestown will head to the Magic City on Friday to compete in the Minot invite.

GIRL’S HOCKEY: JAMESTOWN 5, WILLISTON 1

Olivia Sorlie made 24 saves in net on Saturday as the Blue Jay girls hockey team snapped a four-game losing streak. Jamestown got goals from five different players, including junior Alex Kirkeby who scored her 18th goal of the season. The junior now has 31 points on the year, good for fifth best in the state. Cadee Stockert, Ellie Krueger, Madi Hagan, and Hannah Soulis all scored goals for the Jays. Jamestown, now 6-8-1-1 overall, will play at Grand Forks on Thursday.
