JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has arrested two individuals following a report of someone using fraudulent identifying information.
Major Justin Blinsky reports the victim reported fraudulent purchases of various types of household goods and other property. The value of purchases exceeded $30,000.
“The victim does not live in the immediate area, but had already inquired into unauthorized charges and believed the suspects may have been acquaintances,” Major Blinsky reported.
Investigations were made into fraudulent charges made in Jamestown and Bismarck, leading to a search warrant for a residence in Jamestown.
On Saturday, January 29th, the warrant was completed at 509 3rd Avenue SW.
“During the search, numerous items and property that were fraudulently purchased with the victim’s personal identifying information were found and seized,” Major Blinsky added.
34 year-old Dorothy Ray Rush and 36 year-old Loring Riel Sky Rush were both arrested on suspicion of Unauthorized Use of Personal Identifying Information (B felony). Dorothy Rush was also arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.
Both suspects were transported to Stutsman County Correctional Center, where they await formal charges.
The incident remains under investigation and other charges are possible in the incident.
