VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two drivers escaped serious injury in two separate crashes on I-94 east of Valley City between mile markers 297 and 298 on Wednesday, January 26th.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a pickup towing a trailer lost control in the eastbound lane and landed in the median. A few yards before that crash another pickup lost control in the eastbound lane and landed in the median on the drivers side of the vehicle.
The Valley City Rural Fire District Fire and Rescue squad assisted one of the drivers out of the vehicle. No serious injuries were reported to either of the drivers.
Barnes County Sheriff’s office and the Valley City Police department assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene. The road surface was slippery and a gusty south wind may have been a factor in these two crashes.
