JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The local United Way Chapter has set their fundraising goal to help various organizations in and around Jamestown.

Jamestown United Way helps support the community through volunteering, public policy work, and giving. Member Becky Kercher says they help support different non-profit agencies through their work.

To raise money, Kercher says they hold events such as their popular Easter Egg Hunt and Bingo. They also ask area businesses and donors to consider making a difference for their supported agencies.

Jamestown United Way volunteers and agency representatives will be together again for a Bingo event at Club 1883 on Monday, January 31st. The fundraiser will run from 5:30 PM to 8 PM and is a family friendly event.

Kercher added they’re excited to also be involved in Giving Hearts Day on February 10th. Donors will match up to $3,000 meaning every donation to Jamestown United Way will be matched.

Donations through Giving Hearts Day can be made now, scheduled, or day-of at givingheartsday.org.

Kercher says they’re also accepting new board members.
