The Liechty Homes location in Jamestown, ND
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There will be some new and familiar faces behind the ownership of longtime business Liechty Homes.
Christian Cairy, Ryan Kingsriter, Lorne Liechty Jr., Sam Liechty, and Darren Olson have all partnered to take ownership of the modular home business. Cairy has worked for the company as a sales representative for the Jamestown location for several years.
Kingsriter has family ties with the history of the business. He says his grandfather Silas Liechty started the business in 1955.
Kingsriter says after immediate family and associates were informed, they took the information public. This group decided that they wanted to keep the business operational and in the family.
Liechty Jr. added that the importance of keeping family involved in business ownership was an easy decision for him in the partnership.
He added that the opportunity to participate in the “generational heritage” was a big draw to joining the partnership.
When it comes to future plans, Liechty Jr. says at this time, they want to keep the focus on providing their services at each of their locations.
With that growth, he added that being part of the solution to the housing shortage and affordable housing issues is something they’re looking forward to doing.
The partnership is also not new to shared ownership. Recently, the same group purchased Buffalo City Wood Products and changed the name to Dakota Cabins.
Cairy says Darren Olsen and his wife are the primary operators of that business.
Established in 1955, Liechty Homes has expanded to sites in Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, and Rapid City/Blackhawk, SD.
