JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – While winter appears set to stick around, Jamestown Parks & Recreation are excited about the opportunities they can offer and provide the area at this time.

Director Amy Walters says work has started on putting together the schedule of events during Cabin Fever Days in February.

Walters says promotional items sent out soon will highlight these events, encouraging everyone to get out of the house and get active. She added Parks & Rec will also be holding a pickleball tournament at the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) on February 6th and a pinocle tournament at the Hillcrest Pro Shot on February 12th. Free wagon rides will also be offered at the Bunker that same day.

Walters says all year round, they offer open skate, which will be another push for Cabin Fever Days.

Warming house and cross country ski trails also provide opportunity for outdoor activity. Warming houses are in operation pending staff and Walters says they continue to work on keep the ski trails open.

At the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC), Walters says they’re excited to announce the hiring of their next Facility Manager.

Walters says they’re also looking for maintenance at TRAC and mechanic for the Parks & Recreation Department. Employment opportunities and more information can be found at jamestownparksandrec.com.
