JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Annie Nabwe’s go-ahead bucket with four seconds to play proved to not be enough for the Blue Jays on Thursday night as Minot’s Maggie Fricke hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to push the Majettes past Jamestown, 62-61.

The Blue Jay girls overcame another nine-point deficit at the halftime break to take the lead from Minot during the course of the final 18 minutes of play. Jamestown got major production from Hunter Petersen, as well as Rylee Joseph off the bench to mount the comeback. In the late stages of the game, Minot converted on their free throws to stay within striking distance before Fricke nailed the half-court heave to take the Majettes to 8-1 on the season.

Katie Falk was the leading scorer for the Blue Jays, finishing with 13 points and nine rebounds on Thursday night. Annie Nabwe recorded a double-double, picking up 12 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Petersen ended the game with 12 points, and Joseph had 11 for the Jays.
