JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – A busy weekend in Blue Jay athletics saw Jamestown earn victories in three separate sports.

BOY’S HOCKEY – JAMESTOWN 6, BOTTINEAU-RUGBY 0 | JAMESTOWN 7, DICKINSON 1

The Blue Jay boys won their third and fourth consecutive games over the weekend with dominant performances against Bottineau and Dickinson. Nolan Nenow picked up five points over the two games, with all five coming on assists for the junior. Joe Cummings scored three goals on the weekend, and Brooks Roaldson had two goals to go along with three points. In net, Brode Hillstrom had a combined 37 saves between the two conference games, and Hillstrom also had an assist against Dickinson. The Blue Jays will be at Mandan on Tuesday night before taking on Minot Friday at home.

GIRL’S HOCKEY – JAMESTOWN 7, DICKINSON 2

Ellie Kruger produced a hat trick on Saturday in Dickinson in order for the Blue Jay girls to win their second consecutive game in a drubbing of the Midgets. Bernadette Belzer picked up four points, including a goal of her own for Jamestown. Olivia Sorlie made 15 saves in goal for Jamestown as well on Saturday, getting her fifth win of the season. The Jays, now 5-4-1 on the season, takes on West Fargo United Tuesday night at 7 pm in Wilson Arena.

Haley Nelson was the all-around champion as the Blue Jays outlasted Valley City for first place at the KC Invite. Nelson took first on the uneven bars (9.300) and beam (9.525), while also taking fifth on the floor (9.350). Here are your totals for Jamestown.
