JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The final day of the 2022 Stutsman County Boys Basketball Tournament was held on Saturday with four placing games, here are the results:

Griggs/Midkota 66  Kidder County 48 (7th place)

The Titans jumped out early and never trailed as they defeat the Wolves of Kidder County in the first game of the day. GM not only picks up their first win of the tourney, they also get their first win of the season and improve to 1-6 overall. Leading the way for the Titans was Logan Topp with 17 points along with seven assists and four steals, Jaxon Gronneberg added 15 points and 15 rebounds and Wyatt Spickler had 12. KC was led by Luke Rath with 15 points and fall to 1-7 overall.

Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter 55  South Border 53 (5th place)

The Imperials were down 46-31 at the end of three quarters of play, but Junior Trenton Erbele sparked a comeback scoring 13 of his total 26 points in the fourth quarter to help NGS win the consolation championship for the second consecutive year. Erbele also added 10 boards and four steals. Kayden Sperle dropped in 11 including two 3-pointers and Trevor Moos had nine points and 10 rebounds. Also in the fourth quarter, Sperle had four points and Moos hit seven of his nine, including a big three. South Border was led by Kaleb Thiery with 17, Trevor Schmidt with 12 and Luke Scherbenske with 10. NGS is now 3-6 overall, SB drops to 4-3 overall. South Border beat NGS earlier in the regular season in Wishek by seven points.

Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier 69  Carrington 51 (3rd place)

The Rebels shot 56% from the field on 24-43 overall, included 6-9 from the three point arc and rolled to an 18 point victory. Adam Nitschke led the way with a game high 20 points on 7-12 overall shooting and 2-2 from behind the arc. Jacob Nitschke added 16 points and 5 rebounds and Dylan Carlson added 9 points on 3-4 shooting from the arc.
Carrington was paced by Grady Shipman with 16 points and Hudson Topp add 14 points. EKM improved to 6-1 and Carrington dropped to 4-3.
No. 8 Ellendale 54 Medina/Pingree/Buchanan 42 (Championship)
Scott Wagner scored a game high 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Cardinals to championship victory. Wagner was 9-14 from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line. Levi Reis added 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals aiding the win.
MPB was paced by Hunter Mitchell with 15 points offensively. Rylen Wick added 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Josh Moser finished with 7 points,,11 rebounds, and a game high 5 steals. Ellendale improved to 6-0 and ranked number 8 in the latest class B poll and MPB dropped to 4-2.
