JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During its first meeting of 2022, the Jamestown City Council appointed city residents to city boards and committees.
Jon Lillejord was re-appointed to the Civil Service Commission, with a term ending January 2027. Darrel Losing and Harold Bensch were re-appointed to the Board of Adjustments. The committees oversee city personnel and zoning matters, respectively, within the city.
Mayor Dwaine Heinrich postponed a vote on appointments to the Jamestown Regional Airport Authority, noting that there have not been any applicants for the 4-year term. The city will advertise for the open position again and will approve a candidate at a future meeting.
The Regional Airport Authority governs the airport with members appointed by the city and Stutsman County. Those interested in applying should contact Jamestown city hall.
