JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Park Board heard a proposal from the Dakota Anglers to install a boat ramp at the Marina Bay.

Dakota Anglers member Dave Odin informed the board that it would be located on the south end of the bay, where the water was deeper.

The 32 foot-wide, 95 foot-long double ramp would allow boats to go in on either side. Odin says they received one bid through LDE Concrete for $24,320. Removal of the current ramp is set at $4,600 and site preparation is estimated to cost $9,788.80.

The project would be cost shared with North Dakota Game & Fish covering 75% of the project, leaving about $10,000 needed for the project.

Odin says they’re estimating they could pour concrete sometime in September 2022, water levels and project approval pending.

A motion was made to proceed with the project with the Stutsman County Park board to match the Dakota Anglers cost to not exceed $5,000. The funds would also come out of the 2021 Park Board budget. The Park Board unanimously approved.
