JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) met in a special session Monday to begin the hiring process after CEO Connie Ova announced her retirement date in 2022.

Ova’s last day will be May 13th, 2022.

Executive Committee Chair Marlee Siewart stated she would like to have the Executive Committee to be search committee to hire Ova’s successor.

The committee discussed creating an official job description that includes management of the shared JSDC/Chamber building and the Spiritwood Energy Park Association.

Once a job description is completed, the board will move to post in multiple sites including Job Service ND, Association of Counties, League of Cities, and web-based hiring service Indeed to reach both a local, statewide, national, and international pool of candidates.

Pending board approval, the executive committee hopes to have the job posting available by mid-January 2022.
