JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Drag Racing Association (JDRA) has announced a partnership with the Jamestown Community Foundation.

“The Jamestown Community Foundation has agreed to establish a restricted fund to receive and hold funds that will aid JDRA in fundraising for its dream of bringing a facility to the Jamestown area,” JDRA Vice President Tyler Michel announced in a release.

“What this means is that anyone may make tax-deductible donations as allowed by IRS strictly to the track fund,” the release further explains. “JDRA will be able to accept donations in order to construct a facility. With lots of hard work and determination, JDRA will hopefully be able to begin construction of the facility in the near future.”

The organization states that this move has brought the goal of bringing a track to the Jamestown area one step closer to realization.

JDRA has been attempting to find the right piece of land and fundraise to build their own drag strip near Jamestown.
