ELLENDALE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – A hot start by the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion on Tuesday night helped the Loboes stay undefeated as they took down Ellendale 66-31 in District 5 action.
LLM jumped out early on the Cardinals, outscoring Ellendale 25-8 in the first quarter on the road. The Loboes never relinquished the lead, going in front 34-15 at the break behind another strong outing from senior Molly Musland. The 5’9 guard finished with a game high 18 points. LaMoure was a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line as a team.
Three other Loboes, Tessa Rasmusson, Norah DelaBarre, and Mollie Robbins all reached double figures. Rasmusson led that group with 13 points, and DelaBarre and Robbins each had 10. Olivia Hagen, Mackenzie Thorpe, and Kali Norton all ended the game with six points for Ellendale.
LLM improves to to 5-0 to start the season, 1-0 inside of District 5. Ellendale drops to 1-6 in the early portion of the year, 0-1 inside of District 5. The Loboes will travel to Sargent County on Thursday to take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 PM, and the Cardinals will be in Oakes on Friday night for a 6:00 PM tipoff.
