OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There are a lot of fun events coming to Oakes in the upcoming days and weeks. Oakes Chamber Director Kausha Magill stopped by the station to talk about them including a comedy show, painting party and a free movie.

A free comedy show is coming to the Angry Beaver Lodge on Saturday, December 18th at 8:00 p.m sponsored by Tara’s Thrifty White Pharmacy and Heritage Insurance.

On Monday, December 20th, Oakes Painting Party Just For Kids will be at the Growing Small Towns building for kids in grades K-6. Registration is $20 and you can call the Oakes Chamber at (701) 742-3508 for more information.

A free showing of the Christmas classic “Polar Express” will be shown at the Oakes South Gym. Magill fills us in with the details.

Week two of the Christmas Lights winner was announced. Magill said who the winner of the Chamber Bucks is.

The final resident winner will be picked next week.
