JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown girls basketball team opened up its home season in dominant fashion on Tuesday night as the Blue Jays defeated Legacy 65-38.

Jamestown got off to a quick start in the first half, led by Ella Falk who put up 13 points before the break. The Blue Jays led 33-21 at the half and in the second, took over, dominating Legacy and controlling the game.

Annie Nabwe and Katie Falk each recorded a double-double for the Jays en route to the victory over the Sabres. Junior E. Falk helped pace Jamestown offensively, putting up 19 points and hitting four threes. Nabwe grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to go along with 12 points, and K. Falk had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Jays. Sophomore Teegan Bosche also reached double figures, putting up 10 points.

With the victory, Jamestown moves to 3-1 on the year and 2-1 in the West Region. The Blue Jays will travel to Turtle Mountain on Friday for a 5:45 tipoff against the Braves. The next home game for the Jamestown girls team is December 28th at 2:30 when they take on Minot.
