JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – In game two of the doubleheader at Jerry Meyer Arean on Tuesday night, the Blue Jay boys basketball team suffered a 70-54 loss to Bismarck Legacy.
Jamestown held an early six point lead in the first half before the Sabres took the lead in the final four minutes to go in front 35-29 at the break. Legacy extended its lead 11 with just under four minutes to go when the Blue Jays mounted a small comeback to cut the Legacy advantage to 59-53. The Sabres capitalized on Jamestown turnovers and finished the game on an 11-1 run. Jaxon Kellog had a game-high 17 points for Legacy.
Adam Kallenbach ended the night with 13 points, leading the way for Jamestown. Devin Beach was the only other Jamestown player in double digits, finishing with 10. Off the bench, Ryan Larson had eight points, and Dalton Lamp and Noah Meissner each had five.
Jamestown now sits at 2-2 on the season and 1-2 in the WDA. The Blue Jays will host Turtle Mountain on Friday night at 7:45. It will be the finally Blue Jay home game of 2021.
