JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Girls Basketball Tournament wrapped up on Saturday. Here are your results from the championship games.

Championship: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier 56 Carrington 26

The Rebels of EKM shot 51% from the field to help them win the SCT crown over the two-time defending champs the Carrington Cardinals. Carrington had cold shooting the whole game, shooting just 18% from the field in the first half and 21% in the second half. Leading the way for the Rebels was Mataeya Mathern with a double-double, 18 points, 10 rebounds and added five steals, Emily Kinzler had 10 points. Carrington was led by Sydnie Grager with seven points. EKM improves to 4-0, Carrington now 3-1 overall.

3rd Place:  Medina/Pingree/Buchanan 48 Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter 37

The MPB Thunder started the game on a 12-0 run and never looked back. Ryleigh Martin had a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds for MPB, Allison Thomas dropped in 15 points, including three 3-pointers. NGS was led by Teagan Erbele with 21 points. MPB improves to 3-1 and NGS drops to 2-3.

5th Place: Griggs-Midkota 48, Ellendale 35

A pair of District 5 squads faced off in the consolation championship with the Titans improving to 3-2 on the season with their win over Ellendale. The inside combination of Jenna Larson and Asia Becherel led Griggs-Midkota to victory as Larson and Becherel each had a double-double. Becherel had 27 points and 13 rebounds, and Larson finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Ellendale was led by Mackenzie Thorpe, who went 8-11 at the free throw line, ending the game with 10 points. The Cardinals drop to 1-4 on the season.

7th Place: South Border 63, Warwick 34

A competitive first game of the day saw South Border take a six point lead into the halftime break. The Mustangs took over in the third quarter, outscoring Warwick 24-4 to take a commanding lead. South Border was led by Emily Jochim who had 18 points and seven rebounds, and Macy Monson added in 11. The leading scorer for the game was from the Lady Warriors as Bethany Brown went 5-10 from three point range and ended with 19 points. South Border improves to 3-2 on the year and Warwick falls to 1-6.
