OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes Chamber Director Kausha Magill stopped by the KDDR Studio to talk about the great stuff going on in Oakes for the upcoming week including local deals, the youth bowling league, the winner of the lighting contest and more.
For those who still haven’t complete their Christmas shopping Magill said that there are plenty of businesses having holiday specials this week including Computer Express, JQ Clothing, Seasons of Style, B&B Gardens, Quilt-N-Sew, and Total Home.
Shadow Lanes is hosting a youth bowling league to help keep kids in the community active and make new friends during the cold, winter months. For more information, you can call 742-3440.

On Thursday, December 9th, there is plenty to do in Oakes including Simple Craft and Treats at Quilt-N-Sew, Fit 4 U Nutrition has a lunch from 11 a.m. until its gone serving chicken and waffles. Also, the Artisan Show will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Growing Small Towns building in conjunction with Active Arts. Magill has more on Thursday evening’s event.
The lighting contest sponsored by Ottertail Power announced their first of three resident winners. Magill told us who that is.
