JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Interim Stutsman County Auditor Jessica Alonge will be taking over the position after being approved by the commission Tuesday.
Commission Chairman Mark Klose stated in conversations with Alonge, she stated she was comfortable taking on the position after working in the interim since September 2020.
The commission unanimously approved. Commissioner Dennis Ova was not present.
In other commission business, work was approved on the Law Enforcement Center flooring and different board appointments and job descriptions were accepted.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager and 911 Coordinator Andrew Kirking also brought forth their Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan for commission approval. The plan was put together by Nexus Planning & Consulting in Bismarck.
The plan reviews hazards, risks, vulnerabilities, and capabilities of the county, update of vulnerable populations and areas, and develop a mitigation strategy for the county accurately reflecting plan research and progress.
Kirking says it’s a requirement to complete the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plan was unanimously approved.
