DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liners boys basketball team hit the road to take on the Fire Birds in Devils Lake. Valley City dropped their first game of the season last week at home to the Jamestown Blue Jays, so they were trying to get that first win of the season.

The Hi-Liners fought hard all night in the back and forth match up, and even forced overtime when  Carson Eggert hit a game tying 3-pointer at the buzzer. However, Devils Lake would take this one in the extra frame and win 81-76 in OT. Coach Alex Quist saying, “It was an exciting back and forth game. Both teams made plays, Devils Lake just made one more.”
