VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Firefighters responded to a call for service in the 100 block of 3rd Street Southeast in Valley City around 11:29am on December 4th for a report of smoke and fire from the residence.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said upon arrival crews shut off power to the property and eventually found an electrical short in the stove outlet. He said damage to the property was minimal and no injuries were reported. Crews were on the scene for about 34 minutes.
