JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Downtown Association (JDA) is returning their popular Holiday Lighting contest this year.
Originally held in 2020 in lieu of their Holiday Dazzle Parade, JDA President Lynn Lambrecht says the response from the public was too great not to have the lighting contest return.
Nearly 80 houses competed in the community contest in 2020 and Lambrecht hopes they have even more dazzle from area homes and businesses this year.
“Houses, neighborhoods, and businesses will all qualify,” Lambrecht adds. “[Sites] will be put on a virtual map that families can drive by and enjoy your light display.”
The winners will be decided on a community vote at jamestowndowntown.org once registrations and tours begin. The top 3 will receive cash prizes provided by the Jamestown Downtown Association.
“Jamestown’s Santa Station” is the major sponsor of the contest. Listen to holiday music on 97.1 FM all season long.
