choralaires-2018

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Choralaires have been singing and entertaining many with their performances since 1955.

In that span, the group has performed hundreds of concerts and joined others in the Big Sing, a collaborative concert with other all men’s choirs in the region. In 2016, the group was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Member Roger Caine says due to COVID-19, they cut back on some of their performances, but adds they look forward to returning December 17th & 18th for a Christmas concert.

Caine says the last Christmas concert they performed was a dinner concert a few years ago. This show will feature some Christmas music and more. Caine says they will not be accompanied by the Jamestown Boys Choir, but they are excited to be able to perform a concert again.

Tickets for the show are $12 for adults and $5 for students at Looysen I Care, Dakota Store, and at the door. Both Friday and Saturday show will be held at 7:30 PM at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on the University of Jamestown campus.

Caine says they’ve also got some future events planned.

Pam Burkhardt has been director of the Choralaires for more than 25 years. They are accompanied by Dr. Richard Walentine.
