OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes high school senior Abby Cox recently signed her letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Mayville State University.

Cox is a four-time varsity volleyball letter winner for the Tornadoes. She surpassed 1,000 assists and kills in her career. She also made the All-District 5 Volleyball Team in 2020 and 2021. Cox was named the All-District 5 Senior Volleyball Athlete of the Year in 2021 as well as the All-State volleyball team. Cox is also a member of the girls basketball and track teams at OHS.

Her future plans at MSU include majoring in Allied Health. She is the daughter of Andy Cox and Jill Karlgaard.
