VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUAthletics.com) – Five Vikings scored in double figures and Eddie Oyet and Kevin Schramm both posted double-doubles Tuesday night as the VCSU men’s basketball team rolled to a 95-67 victory over Trinity Bible College.

Leading 30-28 after 12 minutes of play, the Vikings scored 10 straight points to take a double-digit lead and then outscored the Lions 26-11 over the final 8 minutes of the first half. VCSU took a 56-39 advantage into the locker room and extended its lead to as many as 37 points in the second half.

The win is the fourth in a row for the Vikings, who are now 7-3 overall. Trinity Bible College drops to 3-6.

 Jalen Addison led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 3-for-4 on 3-pointers and 8-for-9 overall on Tuesday. Schramm and Oyet both posted double-doubles with 11 points and 10 rebounds each. Oyet added a team-high three steals.

Uhana Ochan was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field as he finished with 12 points and five rebounds, and Duoth Gach had 11 points and four rebounds. Four other Vikings had at least six points in a balanced effort, which included six points and six assists from point guard Joshua Kelly.

The Vikings totaled 23 assists in the game as they shot 40-for-77 overall (52 percent). VCSU was 12-for-38 on 3’s (32 percent) and went 3-for-4 on free throws. The Vikings also held a 45-28 rebounding advantage, included a 10-7 edge on the offensive glass.

Trinity Bible College shot 38 percent overall (27-71), 23 percent on 3’s (5-22) and 57 percent at the line (8-14). Austin Molan led the Lions with 16 points.

Up next: Valley City State (7-3) rematches with No. 10-ranked University of Jamestown on Saturday, Nov. 27, at Jamestown. The Jimmies are currently 8-1 overall. VCSU lost to Jamestown 81-64 back on Nov. 12 in Valley City. Saturday’s men’s game starts at 3 p.m. with the women tipping off at 1 p.m.
