JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie men’s and women’s basketball teams continue their road trip on Tuesday night in York Nebraska as Jamestown is set to take on Concordia in doubleheader action.

Starting at 6 pm, the UJ women’s team will begin the doubleheader against #21 Concordia. Jamestown is currently 4-3 on the season, searching for their first road conference win of the year following a loss to Midland on Saturday. Through seven games this season, Hannah DeMars is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Jimmies, averaging 13.6 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest. Four freshmen are playing major roles off the bench, with all four averaging more than 10 minutes per game.

In the nightcap, the #10 Jimmies take on a Bulldogs team that is receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll. UJ is off to its best start in Danny Neville’s tenure, 8-0 overall and 2-0 in the GPAC. Jamestown is currently shooting 51.5% from the field, good for 12th best in the NAIA. Mason Walters leads the Jimmies in terms of points and rebounds, collecting 23 points and 12 rebounds a game.

Tipoff is set for 6 pm from Nebraska, and you can listen to full coverage on Jamestown 107.1. UJ will return home on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader against Valley City State beginning at 1 pm.
