JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakota Anglers of Stutsman County are reflecting on all they accomplished in 2021 and are already gearing up for next years plans.

Dakota Anglers President Dave Schmidt says they consider 2021 a success as far as events go.

Schmidt says they hold events to raise money for their different conservation efforts and projects to make water access more available in the area. He says this includes the installation of some docks in Stutsman County waters.

Schmidt says they’re hopeful projects like these to increase accessibly will help both the older and younger anglers in the region.

While this years projects are completed, Schmidt adds that they have already begun to focus on future projects centered on the Jamestown Reservoir.

He pointed out that the public is also welcome to join Dakota Anglers in helping find projects that need done in Stutsman County.

The Dakota Anglers have also returned their Conservation Raffle, their biggest fundraiser for projects. Drawings are held each weekday from April to June and are just $10 a ticket.
