JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The #1 University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team punched its ticket to Sioux City Iowa on Saturday with a straight-set victory over McPherson College (25-19, 25-16, 25-17).

Anna Holen recorded a double-double for the Jimmies, recording a match-high 18 digs and 11 kills. Kalli Hegerle was the only other Jamestown attacker to hit double-digit kills, finishing with 10 while hitting .588 and recording four blocks. From the service line, Jackie Meiklejohn picked up two service aces, both coming in the third set. Holen had the only other ace for Jamestown in the match.

Meiklejohn recorded 18 assists and Megan Gaffaney added in 14 more for the Jimmies. Ellie Holen tacked on 15 digs and Hannah Schiele ended the match with 11 digs. As a team, Jamestown hit .260 for the match and held McPherson College to a .119 hitting percentage.

Jamestown improves to 32-0 overall on the season, picking up their 27th win in straight sets this year. The next match for the Jimmies will take place in Sioux City on November 30th in the pool play portion of the national tournament. Final site pools will be determined on Sunday, Nov. 21, and released by 5 p.m.
