OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Police Department with assistance from the Sargent County Sheriffs Office, took into custody an out of state fugitive wanted by the US Marshalls. 

The school and daycare near by were placed on a soft lockdown for precautionary reasons.  Once the subject was in custody the lockdowns were lifted. The subject was taken to Richland County Jail. 

The subject was arrested without incident.
