CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Nationally recognized suicide prevention speaker Kevin Hines was in Carrington and New Rockford Tuesday.
In an effort between Eddy County Community Care and the Carrington Area Healthy Communities Coalition, Hines brought his unbelievable story to the community in an effort to spread awareness.
“In the Year 2000, Kevin attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge,” his website states. “Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness & the ability to survive pain with true resilience.”
Hines’ story has been featured on CNN, HuffPost, ABC News, Larry King Now, and the Today Show. He has presented at over 2,000 college and university campuses worldwide, and over 3,000 high schools sharing his story.
