VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUAthletics.com) – The Valley City State University football team set or tied nine different school records this season, and its defense finished the season ranked Top 10 in the nation in several categories.
The Vikings wrapped up their season Nov. 6, finishing the year with an 8-2 overall record and a 6-2 mark in conference play. VCSU received votes in the final NAIA Top 25 Poll on Nov. 14, coming in 27th overall. The NAIA playoffs are limited to 16 teams.
The eight wins by VCSU is the program’s most since going 9-2 and advancing to the playoffs in 2014. Below is a summary of the records and national rankings the 2021 Viking football team achieved this season.
