CRYSTAL SPRINGS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – One man was injured in a crash that involved an SUV and the Dickinson State University Football Team Friday morning near Crystal Springs.
The crash happened just after 9:30 AM near MM 222 on I-94.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports 64 year-old Miguel Gascal of Mesquite, NV lost control of his vehicle on an icy bridge where he entered the median and came back onto the eastbound lane.
The vehicle was then struck by the bus and both came to rest in the south ditch. All 38 players, coaches, and the driver did not sustain any injuries. Gascal was injured and charges are pending investigation.
The NDHP was assisted by the Kidder County Sheriff’s Office.
