JAMESTOWN, ND. (jimmiepride.com) – The 22-ranked University of Jamestown women’s soccer team looks to punch its ticket to the GPAC championship match with a win over Morningside (Iowa) University Tuesday at the Jimmie Turf Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
UJ (17-0-1 overall) is the postseason tournament’s top seed and opened the quarterfinals with a win over eighth-seeded Dordt (Iowa) 3-2 on Thursday. Morningside (12-5-1), the fifth seed, pulled off an upset at fourth-seeded Midland (Neb.) 3-0.
Jamestown and Morningside met one time during the regular season, with the Jimmies taking a 4-2 victory on September 18 in Sioux City.
