JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Kalli Hegerle’s 14 kills and .481 attack percentage set the pace for Jamestown on Saturday night as the Jimmies took care of Doane in straight sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-16).

The Jimmies had a .308 attack percentage as a team in the opening round of the GPAC postseason tournament, improving to 29-0 on the year. Anna Holen had five early kills in the first set to get Jamestown rolling on the offensive end. Holen ended the match with nine kills and a team-high 16 digs. Corina Huff had a nice night for Jamestown as well, recording nine kills and hitting .389.

Jackie Meiklejohn dished out a match-high 23 assists and Megan Gaffaney added in 19 more for the Jimmies. On the back row, Ellie Holen had 15 digs and Hannah Schiele finished with nine. Jamestown held Doane to a .096 hitting percentage for the match, including 18 attack errors.

UJ will now host the GPAC semifinals on Wednesday night at Harold Newman Arena at 7 pm. Jamestown will play the winner of Dakota Wesleyan versus Northwestern for a berth in the GPAC Championship Game.
