New Alpha Opportunities CEO Leslie Scharbrough speaks before a small gathering on November 5th.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After nearly 18 months of work and planning, Alpha Opportunities introduced their new CEO Leslie Scharbrough.

Board member Laurel Haroldson addressed the attendees to introduce Scharbrough, started with Alpha Opportunities as the program services director. Haroldson says in eight weeks, Scharbrough jump-started some crucial processes and necessary structure to assure Alpha is in line with its mission and vision. It all began nearly two years ago when Alpha Opportunities hired consultant Dewey Schlittenhart.

Haroldson says with their work with the consultant, they had tools in place to find their next CEO. Scharbrough said she was touched with the amount of support she’s received and credited those working the last 18 months for getting the organization to this point.

She added the board, volunteers, and current staff have helped make the transition and implementation of their new mission, vision, and values an easy process.

Alpha Opportunities provides care taking of individuals with developmental disabilities and offers employment training for individuals with disabilities.
