JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Inspiration and connection inspired by strong women will be in Jamestown November 10th.
Strong Women, Strong Connections offers a pause where women can connect and learn from the success and failures of leading women in the community.
“Nowadays, we know connection is important, even more so after hours,” the organization states. “If you come, you will hear from incredible panelists, meet amazing women during speed networking with a twist, and enjoy some tasty appetizers and crafted cocktail samples during this evening event.”

Chris Armbrust
Dakota Fiber Mill was founded by Chris Armbrust and she has been making yarn and roving from sheep, alpaca, goat, camel, Bison etc since 2010. A collaboration with 4 NDSU engineering students brought a felting machine to the mill in 2017, and all waste and short fibers are felted into a variety of products. The mill also has a line of yarn called Dakota Spun. The Mill moved from Chris’s farm by Kindred, ND to the lower level of the Nome Schoolhouse in 2021.
Teresa Perleberg
Bear Creek Felting founded by Teresa Perleberg has been in business since 2008. Teresa designs and sculpts 3D needle felted sculptures using the wool from her flock of sheep. She designs DIY Needle Felting Kits that include instructions and all the materials to help others learn how to Needle Felt. In 2017 Teresa launched an online Needle Felting Academy where members have access to a full library of Needle Felting courses and personal help from Teresa. In 2017 Teresa and Chris developed the Bear Creek wool felting cushion, a natural needle felting work-surface. Teresa is a shepherd to 250 sheep by Fort Ransom, ND.
Carla Sayler
Carla is the owner/operator of Blessings By Carla Boutique in the Warehouse West complex in Jamestown, ND. She grew up on a farm with milk cows and hogs near Bowdle, South Dakota. She graduated from the University of Mary in 1988 with her Social Work degree. After marrying her husband in the fall of 1988, they moved to Jamestown where Carla was a social worker at the ND State Hospital. She had to resign from the NDSH in 1993 due to illness. After recovering, she and her husband began a family, and Carla stayed at home to raise 4 children.
Strong Women, Strong Connections will be held through the North Dakota Women’s Business Center at the Warehouse West Building at 208 1st St. West in Jamestown on Wednesday, November 10th from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
