JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Reservoir Marina Building may have a new concessionaire in 2022.
After nearly two years of operating as concessionaire for the Jamestown Reservoir Marina Building, the Park Board was asked to consider a new contract after the end of the year.
The Park Board approved a proposal in March 2020 to Luke Anderson and his party with the contract set to expire December 31st, 2021.
Anderson informed the Park Board Tuesday that he did not plan to renew the contract.
Anderson added they appreciated the opportunity and the Commission and Park Board were easy to work with. He added they had conversations with other individuals as potential leasees to take over the establishment moving ahead.
Lucas Dockter spoke after Anderson, stating that he had submitted a document to the park board outlining a possible new contract as a leasee for the building.
Commissioner Mark Klose stated they could move the item to their next meeting before making a decision on the proposed contract.
The Park Board will discuss the contract at the next Park Board meeting later this month.
