JAMESTOWN, ND. (jimmiepride.com) – The top-ranked University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team closes out the regular season Tuesday night when they host No. 15 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D) University at 7:30 p.m.

Jamestown, 27-0 overall and 15-0 in the GPAC, won its second consecutive regular-season conference championship with a 3-1 victory over College of Saint Mary (Neb.) on Saturday. The Jimmies clinch the top spot and home court advantage in the postseason conference tournament and also earn an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship.

The Tigers are 22-7 overall and 10-5 in the conference. DWU snapped a two-match losing streak with a sweep of Mount Marty (S.D.) University on Friday, and are 6-2 in their last eight matches.

UJ has had the upper hand in the last 15 matches against Dakota Wesleyan. Jamestown is 14-1 with 14 straight victories dating back to 2006. The Tigers’ only win came back in August of 2005.

The quarterfinals of the GPAC postseason tournament begin on Saturday, and the Jimmies will host the eighth-seed at 7 p.m. Final seeds will be announced following the completion of Tuesday’s matches.
