VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – About a dozen citizens voiced their concern over a string of rural burglaries in Barnes County during a regular County Commission meeting on Tuesday, November 2nd. These rural residents wanted to know what is being done to catch or arrest the individual or individuals involved with these burglaries.
Sheriff Randy McClaflin said there have been several reports of abandoned and occupied farmsteads being burglarized. He said if you notice any suspicious activity, or have confronted an unwanted person on your property, or have captured an image or video of an unwanted person on a security camera, call the Sheriff’s office at 701-845-8530.
McClaflin said installing video cameras would help their efforts in identifying an individual or individuals involved with these burglaries.
Barnes County State’s Attorney Tonya Duffy told the audience that video images greatly help when prosecuting cases involving burglaries.
