GWINNER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Milnor woman is dead after a crash 6 miles east of Gwinner on Monday, November 1st.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a 2011 Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound on Highway 13 at around 4:30 PM when the car approached a 1996 Peterbilt semi with a trailer that had slowed to turn left on 137 Ave. SE.

The Fusion struck the Peterbilt truck and trailer in the rear, coming to rest in the eastbound lane. The 36 year-old Milnor woman was transported by Milnor ambulance and intercepted by Lisbon Ambulance. She was pronounced deceased from her injuries.

The 77 year-old Milnor man driving the semi was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol was assisted by the Sargent County Sheriff’s Department, Milnor Ambulance, Milnor Fire Department, and Lisbon Ambulance.
