BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – Legislative leaders are preparing for next week’s special session.

That session will deal primarily with redistricting, and how to spend the latest federal coronavirus relief money. But there may be other issues.

A number of bills have been filed, many dealing with items such as vaccine mandates and critical race theory.

Those bills will have to go through delayed bills committees – and if approved for introduction, will be heard by a Joint Technical Corrections Committee.

House Majority Leader Chet Pollert of Carrington says some of the ideas could be worth discussing.

Pollert says that will likely mean long Legislative days, with sessions that could go into the evening.

The Leaders say they hope the session can be wrapped within 5 days. The session begins on November 8th.
