LAMOURE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – For the second year in a row Lamoure-Litchville-Marion finds itself in the state semifinals in 9-man playoff football, thanks to a gigantic game from Senior QB Corban Potts.

Potts accounted for six touchdowns in a 42-22 win over Grant County Flasher Saturday at Townsend field in LaMoure.

The Storm hung tough for three quarters and became the first team to score three touchdowns in a game vs the Loboes this season.

The game was tied 14-14 with 90 seconds remaining in the first half when L-L-M went on an eight play 88 yard drive that was capped off with a 21 yard TD pass from Potts to Junior TE Colton Ness.

This gave the Loboes a 20-14 lead heading into halftime.

The momentum carried over to the second half as L-M-M put up a TD on its opening drive of the third quarter with a eight play 69 yard drive that was finished off when Potts found Junior RB Garrett Hebl on a 15 yard scoring strike that increased the lead to 28-14.

After a three and out forced the Storm to punt the ball right back, L-M-M put together another 69 yard TD drive, and this one took just six plays, and  it was Potts on the keeper from two yards out that put the Loboes up 36-14.

L-M-M tacked on another score early in the fourth with Potts again running in from a yard out to wrap up a 10 play drive that covered 51 yards.

Potts ended his fantastic day with three TD runs and three TD passes as the #1 ranked Loboes improve to 10-0 and advance to the final four next Saturday with a home game against Bottineau. The Braves are also undefeated after their quarter final round win over Nelson County.

Kickoff is tentatively set for 2:00 pm with coverage on Q101 FM and newsdakota.com starting with the pregame at 1:35pm. The winner of this game will advance to the State 9-Man title game at Fargodome on Friday, November 12th.

Grant Count Flasher ends the year at 6-5 and were led by RB Layton Woodbury. The Junior had a pair of TD runs, his 10th and 11th of the season.
