DICKINSON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School girls volleyball team picked up its second consecutive win on Tuesday night as the Blue Jays took down Dickinson (25-23, 25-14, 25-18) in straight sets.

After a close first set victory, Jamestown took control of this match on the road en route to their second win over the Midgets this season. Sophomore Makenna Nold stepped into the setter role on Tuesday night, totaling a season high 33 assists, as well as three and a half blocks and nine digs in the victory. Annie Nabwe was once again a big force on the front row for Jamestown, ending the night with three blocks and four kills.

Bernadette Newman led Jamestown on the attack, finishing with 12 kills and 16 digs for a double-double. Hunter Petersen added in 10 kills and Katie Falk had nine more for the Blue Jays. Jenna Fischer added double digit digs with 11, and Fischer led Jamestown in service aces on the night with two.

The Blue Jays improved to 21-10 overall and 12-5 in the WDA with the win over Dickinson. Jamestown heads to Bismarck on Thursday night to take on the top team in Class A, Bismarck Century. First serve is scheduled for 7 pm at Olson Gymnasium.
