Lisbon, N.D (NewsDakota.com) – The Lisbon Broncos Football team played the Kindred Vikings tough until late in the 3rd quarter in the final game of the regular season Friday night. The score was 14 to 8 Kindred until 4:54 remaining in the 3rd, that’s when the Vikings scored again on a 47 yard TD run by #24 Trey Heinrich. That made the score 20 -8. Offensively it was all Kindred from there winning 33 to 8.
Lisbon actually scored first on a 57 yard TD run by #5 Boeden Greenley with 8:33 remaining in the 1st quarter. Unfortunately for Lisbon that would be their only points of the night.
The Broncos finished the season with a record of 4-3 in Region 1 and 5-4 overall. They qualified for the playoffs as the #4 seed from the south east.
The first round of the playoffs next Saturday has the Broncos traveling to play the #1 seed Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros from Region 2. The Burros finished 7-0 in Region 2 play and 8-1 overall.
