YANKTON, S.D.– Kamryn Fiscus (JR/Yakima, Wash.) scored twice while Cassandra Diaz (JR/Montebello, Calif.) and Chloe Andrews (FR/Selah, Wash.) also had goals as the 25th-ranked University of Jamestown women’s soccer team defeated Mount Marty University 4-0.
Fiscus scored in the eighth minute on a pass from Diaz for a 1-0 Jimmie lead. Despite outshooting Mount Marty 10-2 and not allowing a shot on target, UJ held a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the 50th minute, Fiscus doubled Jamestown’s lead, and Diaz made it 3-0 in the 66th minute. Andrews added a 76th minute goal to round out the scoring.
Alex Nowka (JR/Anchorage, Alaska) faced just one shot on target, which came in the 54th minute. The Jimmies outshot the Lancers 19-4 and had a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal.
The win boosts UJ’s record to 13-0 and 8-0 in the GPAC. The Jimmies return to action next Wednesday hosting Dordt (Iowa) University at 5 p.m.
