CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to two separate incidents last week in the Carrington area.

Sgt. Evan Savageau reports that on Wednesday, October 6th, a semi navigating the roundabout north of the city overturned at around 8 AM.

Sgt. Savageau reports there were no injuries. The male driver from Winnipeg, Manitoba was cited for care required and failure to secure a load, which comes to a commercial violation for the driver. A passenger was also not injured in the crash.

Damages to the roundabout were not immediately known.

On Friday, October 9th, the Highway Patrol was dispatched about 7 miles south of Carrington at 2:30 PM to an accident. Sgt. Savageau states that both vehicles were heading south to Jamestown.

The male driver from Fargo attempted to veer to the left of the second vehicle attempting to turn left, causing him to strike the A-pillar of the drivers side of the 2015 Chevy Impala.

The Jamestown man in the Impala received minor injuries and was taken to CHI St. Alexius in Carrington.

The crash remains under investigation.
