JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several finishing touches were being added Wednesday afternoon at the Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium in Jamestown.

The shared facility by the University of Jamestown and Jamestown Public School will be celebrated with a noon ribbon cutting on Friday, October 8th. Leading up to the event, many different small details have been added to finalize the $11.5 million project. One of the many different things being added were two statues designed and created by Bohl Ironworks.

“We were contacted by the University of Jamestown to design two statues to give the new stadium a new look,” Corey Bohl stated. “The process has taken many hours.”

Bohl and his brother Brad were excited to have a part in the process.

“We’ve been a part of this community our whole lives,” Corey added. “We’re happy to use our profession to add to the stadium and definitely had an interest in the project.”

The statues will greet families, athletes, players, and visitors for years to come.

Roughrider Signs crews were also installing University and Blue Jay logos to the stadium Wednesday.
