ORANGE CITY, Iowa– Kamryn Fiscus (JR/Yakima, Wash.), Cassandra Diaz (JR/Montebello, Calif.), and Peyton Rudnick (JR/Jamestown, N.D.) all had goals as the University of Jamestown women’s soccer team improved to 10-0 this season with a 3-0 win over Northwestern College Saturday afternoon.
The Jimmies also move to 5-0 in the GPAC and will play at Presentation (S.D.) College on Tuesday.
Fiscus took a pass from Briana Perry (SR/Las Vegas, Nev.) and put UJ in front in the fourth minute, scoring her fifth goal of the season.
Diaz took advantage of a failed clearance by the Red Raider goalkeeper, got past the defense, and slotted home her ninth of the year in the 14th minute to make it 2-0.
With sixty-two seconds from full-time, Rudnick capped off the scoring on a pass from Autumn Opperud (SR/Huntington Beach, Calif.) to make it 3-0 Jimmies. It was the second goal of the season for Rudnick.
Jamestown outshot Northwestern 22-7 overall and had a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Alex Nowka (JR/Anchorage, Alaska)’s three saves all came in the second half as she posted her fifth clean sheet of the season.
