VALLEY CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown high school football team stayed in its top spot of the Class A poll in the latest edition of the NDAPSSA 11AA and 11A football rankings.
The Blue Jays, now 5-1 on the year and 4-0 in the WDA, have held the #1 ranking in Class A since their 20-7 victory over St. Mary’s. The Saints remained second in Class A, receiving one first-place vote compared to the 12 for Jamestown. Fargo North, Devil’s Lake, and Dickinson round out the top five in Class A.
Jamestown returns to Rollie Greeno Field on Friday night for a 7 pm kickoff against Class AA opponent Mandan. The Braves come in with a 2-4 record after losing in overtime last week to Fargo Davies, 27-21. The Blue Jays were also honored as the team of the week by the WDA for their victory over Valley City last Friday.
